Paphos in Cyprus

Paphos is a small charming harbour town, situated on the west of the island, which has been, during certain times in antiquity, the capital of Cyprus and has a history which goes back literally thousands of years.

The town of Paphos is bordered by a lovely coastline, with charming villages in its mountains. It is now the most popular spot in the west, with nearly three quarters of a million visitors every year, with the majority coming from the United Kingdom. It has a number of ancient ruins, along with pubs, clubs and bars to suit all tastes and pockets.

Paphos has its own international airport, and there is also one in Larnaca. The airports receive flights from most cities in Europe as well as some Middle Eastern and North African destinations.

There are some transatlantic flights as well. Taxis are readily available and resorts often run their own shuttles. Ferries arrive at the port of Limassol, from Athens, Crete, Patmos and Rhodes, as well as Israel

Paphos in the summer will bring temperatures of up to 32C and it is even warmer inland. Even in autumn it can feel like summer but the evenings tend to be cooler. December and January can bring the possibility of rain but there will still be up to six hours of sunshine a day
